Cabell Midland entered their tilt with Parkersburg South on Saturday with nine consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with ten. They put the hurt on the Patriots with a sharp 3-0 win. The game was the first time the Knights have beaten the Patriots on their court since October 22, 2022.

Lyla Johnson paced Cabell Midland's offense, picking up 11 kills. Johnson got some help from Jillian Yost and her 20 assists. Finally, Yost was also a dominant defender, finishing with a team-high two blocks.

Cabell Midland's record is now 30-4-1. As for Parkersburg South, they have been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last nine matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-13 record this season.

Coincidentally, Cabell Midland and Parkersburg South will both be playing Greenbrier East the next time they take the court. The Knights will head out to face the Spartans at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, while the Patriots will play them later in the day, at 11:00 a.m.
