Baseball Recap: Boca Raton Comes Up Short

Boca Raton was the 3-1 winner over Palm Beach Central when they last played one another back in March of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. The Bobcats fell just short of the Broncos by a score of 4-3 on Thursday. The Bobcats have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Tyler Dennison was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases and one double. That double was his first of the season. The team also got some help courtesy of Jordan Davis, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-2.

Boca Raton's defeat dropped their record down to 4-18. As for Palm Beach Central, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-5 record this season.

Boca Raton will venture away from home to challenge Royal Palm Beach at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. The Bobcats are facing the Wildcats at the right time seeing as the Wildcats are stuck on a six-game losing streak. As for Palm Beach Central, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Park Vista at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Both teams are headed into the matchup with plenty of momentum (the Broncos have won three straight at home, while the Cobras won six straight on the road), something that'll have to change.
