Preview: Okawville Rockets vs. Red Bud Musketeers

The Okawville Rockets will be playing at home against the Red Bud Musketeers at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The last four games Okawville has played (dating back to last season) have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

Even though Marissa/Coulterville scored an imposing ten runs on Thursday, Okawville still came out on top. Okawville narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past Marissa/Coulterville 11-10. That's two games straight that Okawville has won by just one run.

Meanwhile, after only one run in their last matchup, Red Bud made sure to put some runs up on the board against Collinsville on Saturday. Red Bud blew past Collinsville 11-1. Red Bud's hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

Julia Ohlau made a splash no matter where she played. She tossed three innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. Ohlau was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring three runs while going 3-for-4.

In other pitching news, Danielle Schmitz looked comfortable as she pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit.

Back at the plate, Lyla Hess was incredible, scoring four runs and stealing two bases while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances. Another player making a difference was Addi Dilley, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.

Okawville now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Red Bud, the victory also got them back to even at 2-2.
