Basketball Recap: Lake Worth Christian Takes a Loss

Lake Worth Christian lost against Grandview Prep back in January of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Lake Worth Christian Defenders fell 76-65 to the Grandview Prep Pride. The Defenders have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Despite the loss, Lake Worth Christian still got an impressive performance from Landen Harwood, who dropped a double-double on 32 points and 15 boards. The match was Harwood's fourth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Chase Troncale, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and 11 rebounds.

Grandview Prep got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Zack Burrow out in front who went 7 for 9 on his way to 21 points along with eight assists and eight boards. Burrow is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Jamir Davis, who posted 15 points in addition to eight assists and six rebounds.

Lake Worth Christian's loss dropped their record down to 10-8. As for Grandview Prep, they have been performing well recently as they've won eight of their last ten contests, which provided a nice bump to their 12-4 record this season.

Lake Worth Christian wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 69-53 defeat against St. John Paul II Academy on the 17th. Grandview Prep has also already played their next matchup, an 89-36 win against Village Academy on the 17th.
