Basketball Recap: North Callaway Snags Third Victory in Last Four Games

If South Callaway wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played North Callaway, they should've done a better job of containing Natalie Shryock. The North Callaway Thunderbirds walked away with a 65-53 victory over the South Callaway Bulldogs on Monday thanks in part to Shryock, who went 9 of 11 from beyond the arc on her way to 31 points and five rebounds. The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in points.

Livia Hartley was another key player, putting up ten points and eight boards. She has been hot recently, having also posted two or more steals the last four times she's played.

North Callaway is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 5-5 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 55.5 points per game. As for South Callaway, they now have a losing record at 4-5.

North Callaway wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 58-57 win against Russellville on the 15th. As for South Callaway, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 61-8 victory against New Bloomfield on the 15th.
