Basketball Recap: Hilliard Takes Down Fort White in a Playoff Battle

With a playoff win on the line, Hilliard rose to the challenge on Tuesday. They skirted past the Fort White Indians 67-64. The win continues a trend for the Red Flashes in their matchups with the Indians: they've now won four in a row.

Alyssa Hallman continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double with 26 points and 24 rebounds. Her evening made it six games in a row in which she has scored at least 17 points. Another player making a difference was Molly Dean, who posted 14 points along with seven boards and three steals.

Hilliard smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 26 offensive rebounds. That's the most offensive boards they've posted since back in January of 2024.

Hilliard's record is now 18-8. As for Fort White, their loss dropped their record down to 16-8.

Coming up, Hilliard will take on Holmes County at 5:00 p.m. on February 26th. Holmes County knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past ten games -- so hopefully Hilliard likes a good challenge. Fort White does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
