Baseball Recap: Oconto Falls Comes Up Short

After flying high against Freedom on Tuesday, Oconto Falls came back down to earth. The Panthers came up short against the Irish on Thursday, falling 11-5. The pitching woes were uncharacteristic for the Panthers, who until this matchup were averaging 3.75 runs allowed.

Oconto Falls saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Teagan Tate, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI. Trace Brehmer also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Oconto Falls' loss dropped their record down to 7-5. As for Freedom, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-11.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Oconto Falls will face off against Menominee at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Freedom, they will square off against Little Chute at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
