Baseball Game Preview: Providence Christian Eagles vs. Dothan Wolves

The Providence Christian Eagles are taking a road trip to face off against the Dothan Wolves at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Providence Christian is coming into the game on a five-game losing streak.

Providence Christian managed to slip by Rehobeth the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. Providence Christian came up short against Rehobeth on Thursday, falling 10-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Eagles have suffered against the Rebels since February 20, 2017.

Tyler Sharp was cooking despite his team's loss, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with one triple, one stolen base, and one run. That triple marked the first that he hit this season.

Meanwhile, Dothan lost 10-3 to Central on Saturday. The loss continues a trend for the Wolves in their meetings with the Red Devils: they've now lost four in a row.

Dothan saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Braddoc Jenkins, who went 2-for-3 with one double. The dominant performance gave Jenkins a new career-high in hits.

Dothan's defeat dropped their record down to 8-5. As for Providence Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 3-8.
