Recap: Wall Hawks vs. Wimberley Texans

The Wall Hawks's four-game losing streak came to an end on Saturday. They walked away with a 81-72 victory over Wimberley. The victory was all the more spectacular given Wall's disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 1054th, while Wimberley is ranked 526th).

Despite the loss, Wimberley still got an impressive performance from Paul Gumbert-mendoza, who scored 26 points along with 5 rebounds. The match was Gumbert-mendoza's 13th in a row with at least ten points. Ethan Sharp was another key contributor, going 6 for 9 from beyond the arc en route to 21 points and 1 assists.

Wall's victory bumped their record up to 2-4. As for Wimberley, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost four of their last five games, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-6 record this season.

Wall will be playing in front of their home fans against Lake View at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Wimberley will be staying on the road on Tuesday to face off against Bastrop at 12:00 p.m. on December 12th.
