Basketball Recap: Downey Triumphs

Downey's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Tyler Harris led the charge by dropping a double-double on 17 points and ten rebounds. The game was Harris' 13th in a row with at least ten points. Shane Costello was another key player, putting up 11 points.

Downey is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 11-7 record this season. As for Summit, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 10-8.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Downey will face off against Warren at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Downey is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 55.3 points per game this season. As for Summit, they will be playing at home against Eisenhower at 7:00 p.m. on January 8th.
