Baseball Recap: Lee Williams Find Success

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Lake Havasu, Lee Williams was happy to have turned things around on Monday. They skirted past the Dysart Demons 7-5. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Volunteers have posted since April 22, 2024.

Payton Loucks looked comfortable as he pitched three innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit. Lee Williams is 2-1 when Loucks allowsone or fewer hits, but 1-4 otherwise.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Dylan Norbert, who scored a run and stole Three bases. while going 1-for-4. That's the most stolen bases he has posted since back in March of 2024. Izaiah Orozco was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-4.

With the win, Lee Williams broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 3-5. As for Dysart, they now have a losing record of 2-3.

Lee Williams didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 1-0 defeat against Coconino on the 18th. As for Dysart, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next match, a 16-0 loss against Crismon on the 20th.
