Recap: Tongue River Eagles vs. Big Horn Rams
The Tongue River Eagles lost against the Big Horn Rams back in March of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. Tongue River fell to Big Horn 52-46. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Tongue River in their matchups with Big Horn: they've now lost three in a row.
Leading Big Horn to victory were Caleb Adsit and Caleb Gibson. Adsit dropped a double-double on 13 points and 11 rebounds, while Gibson scored 21 points along with seven rebounds and two steals. Gibson hasn't dropped below 15points for six straight games. Another player making a difference was Drew Heermann, who scored no points along with 11 rebounds.
Tongue River's defeat dropped their record down to 9-3. As for Big Horn, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a nice bump to their 8-5 record this season.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Tongue River on the road again on Saturday and play against Wright at 3:00 p.m. on January 20th. As for Big Horn, they will take on Kaycee at 1:30 p.m. on Friday.
