Cincinnatus Central dropped their record down to 6-3 on Friday, which also ended the team's six-game streak of wins. They fell just short of the McGraw Eagles by a score of 5-4. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Eagles this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 6-2 back in April.

Payton Gerrard was huge while hitting and pitching even without the win. On the mound, she tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off three hits. Gerrard was also big at the plate, going 1-for-4 with two stolen bases and one run.

As for McGraw, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-3 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.5 runs over those games.

Like Cincinnatus Central, McGraw also got a great game from a two-way player: Remington Stull. She tossed seven innings while giving up just two earned (and two unearned) runs off four hits. Stull has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than one walk in three consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with two runs, two RBI, and one double. Those two RBI gave her a new career-high.
