Baseball Recap: La Junta Comes Up Short

La Junta was the 4-1 winner over Buena Vista when they last played one another on Tuesday, but their luck changed this time around. The Tigers took a 6-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Demons on Tuesday.

La Junta got a good showing from Treyce Lovato, who tossed 2.2 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Those zero earned runs gave Lovato a new career-low.

At the plate, La Junta saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Eli Stokes, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI.

La Junta has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost eight of their last nine matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-14 record this season. As for Buena Vista, their record now sits at 7-9.
