Smithson Valley skates past Hays with ease

The Smithson Valley Rangers entered their tilt with the Hays Hawks with seven consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with eight. Smithson Valley took their game at home on Friday with ease, bagging a 47-10 victory over Hays. Considering Smithson Valley has won six matchups by more than 20 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.
Smithson Valley's victory was their fourth straight at home, bumping their overall record up to 9-1. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 47.5 points per game. As for Hays, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-6.
Smithson Valley will head out on the road to face off against Seguin at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Seguin will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings (they are ranked 514th, while Smithson Valley is ranked 55th). As for Hays, they will be playing at home against Lehman at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
