Softball Recap: Clear Falls Comes Up Short

Clear Falls lost against Dickinson back in March, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Knights fell 6-1 to the Gators.

Clear Falls saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was A Martinez, who scored a run while going 1-for-4.

Clear Falls has also been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last eight contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-17 record this season. As for Dickinson, their win ended a five-game drought at home and bumped them up to 8-21.

Clear Falls and Dickinson could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings. The Knights (ranked 383rd) will meet Clear Lake (ranked 57th) at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Dickinson will take on Deer Park at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday with a big rank disadvantage (337 vs. 37).
