Polytech is 8-2 against Laurel since May of 2016 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Panthers will host the Bulldogs at 4:15 p.m. Laurel took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Polytech, who comes in off a win.

Having struggled with four defeats in a row, Polytech turned things around against Milford on Thursday. They skirted past the Buccaneers 10-9. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Panthers have posted since May 12, 2025.

The team relied heavily on Cam Allen, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with three runs, one stolen base, and one double. Carter Dulin was another key player, going 2-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one double.

Meanwhile, Laurel faced Delmar in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. The Bulldogs came up short against the Wildcats, falling 14-2. The Bulldogs just can't catch a break and have now endured six losses in a row.

Laurel saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Maverick Timmons, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases. Those stolen bases marked the first that Timmons has snagged this season.

Laurel's defeat dropped their record down to 3-7-1. As for Polytech, their victory was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-3 and their overall record up to 2-5.

Polytech came out on top in a nail-biter against Laurel when the teams last played back in May of 2025, sneaking past 4-3. Will the Panthers repeat their success, or do the Bulldogs have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
