Football Recap: Calvary Christian Knights vs. Westfield School Hornets
Calvary Christian extended their losing streak to three on Friday, dropping them down to 5-3. They were a single point away from ending the streak, but they lost a 24-23 heartbreaker at the hands of the Westfield School Hornets. The Knights lost against the Hornets in their previous head to head back in October of 2024, too, but the margin this time around was much closer than the 41-0 score last time.
Several Knights players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Jamar Williams, who rushed for 102 yards and one score. The team also got some help courtesy of Braxton Wilkinson, who rushed for 30 yards and one TD.
As for Westfield School, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 6-2. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 26.8 points over those games.
Westfield School was led to victory by Brock Johnson and Jackson Hair. Johnson rushed for 94 yards and a pair of touchdowns, while Hair rushed for 124 yards and one score while picking up 7.3 yards per carry. That's the most rushing yards Johnson has posted since back in October of 2024.

Meanwhile, Westfield School will face off against rival Brookstone at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. That matchup will pit two of the most dominant signal callers against one another: Johnson and Broughton Branch.
