The Clayton Clippers's game on Tuesday was a tough loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Thursday. They really took it to Camden Academy Charter for the full four quarters, racking up a 49-10 win at home. That 49-10 margin sets a new team best for Clayton this season.
Rainelle Blocker was her usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 14 points and 12 rebounds. That makes it four consecutive games in which she has scored at least 25% of Clayton's points. Jordyn Jones was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 13 points and 11 rebounds.
The victory got Clayton back to even at 2-2. As for Camden Academy Charter, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-2.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Clayton will wrap up 2023 with a road trip to face off against West Deptford at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday. Camden Academy Charter will wrap up 2023 with a road trip to face off against Buena at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
