Softball Recap: Mercer County Takes a Loss

Mercer County lost against South Laurel back in April, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Titans took a 6-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Cardinals.

Mercer County has also been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 13-11 record this season. As for South Laurel, they are on a roll lately: they've won 12 of their last 13 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 23-5 record this season.

Mercer County has already played their next game, a 10-5 defeat against North Laurel on the 10th. As for South Laurel, they will challenge Somerset at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. The Cardinals are facing the Briar Jumpers at the right time seeing as the Briar Jumpers are stuck on a six-game losing streak.
