Softball Recap: Acalanes Comes Up Short

Acalanes was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They took a 5-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Alhambra Bulldogs. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bulldogs this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 10-2 back in April.

Acalanes saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Maya Shoenhair, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base. That stolen base was Shoenhair's first of the season.

Acalanes now has a losing record of 9-10. As for Alhambra, their win bumped their record up to 13-10.

Acalanes has already played their next match, a 10-1 defeat against Clayton Valley Charter on the 15th. As for Alhambra, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 6-4 victory against College Park on the 15th.
