Baseball Recap: Evart Comes Up Short

After flying high against Roscommon on Tuesday, Evart came back down to earth. The Wildcats fell just short of the Morley Stanwood Mohawks by a score of 6-5 on Thursday. That makes it the first time this season the Wildcats have let down their home crowd.

Sean Jackson made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run. He has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times he's played.

Evart's loss dropped their record down to 16-7-1. As for Morley Stanwood, with the victory, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 8-13.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Mohawks beat Evart by a score of 7-3 later that day.
