Meanwhile, Mountain Island Charter unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Thursday. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of Lincoln Charter. The contest was a 1-1 toss-up at halftime, but Mountain Island Charter couldn't quite close it out.

Pine Lake Prep's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-2. As for Mountain Island Charter, their loss dropped their record down to 9-4.

Pine Lake Prep came out on top in a nail-biter against Mountain Island Charter in their previous meeting back in March, sneaking past 3-2. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Pride since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
