Soccer Recap: Swanton Comes Up Short

Swanton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They came up short against the Wauseon Indians, falling 6-1. While losing is never fun, Swanton can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio soccer rankings (they are ranked 369th, while Wauseon are ranked 62nd).

Swanton's goal came courtesy of Eli Bolyard, who's now up to 11 this season.

Swanton now has a losing record of 3-4-2. As for Wauseon, their win bumped their record up to 8-0.

Swanton wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and has already played their next match, a 4-1 defeat against Bryan on the 18th. As for Wauseon, they also didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next game, a 4-4 draw against Maumee Valley Country Day on the 11th.
