Basketball Recap: Hondo Valley Takes a Loss

Hondo Valley lost against Alamo Navajo on February 11th, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Hondo Valley Eagles took a blow against the Alamo Navajo Cougars, falling 99-64.

Alamo Navajo's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Andy Pino led the charge by dropping a double-double with 32 points and 12 boards. The dominant performance gave Pino a new career-high in points. Scotty Guerro was another key player, shooting 6-for-7 from long range and dropping a double-double with 27 points and 11 rebounds.

Hondo Valley's loss dropped their record down to 11-17. As for Alamo Navajo, their victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 20-7.

Hondo Valley does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Alamo Navajo, they will head out to face off against Mountainair at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday. Mountainair will roll in looking for their tenth straight win, something Alamo Navajo surely won't give up without a fight.
