Football Game Recap: Marshall County vs. Lawrence County

Marshall County have had to suffer through a 3-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They were the clear victor by a 29-8 margin over Lawrence County. That result was just more of the same for Marshall County, who also won the last time these teams played.

The game started off well for Marshall County, whose offense put up 16 first-half points. Lawrence County wasn't quite able to keep up, scoring 8 to make it 16-8 heading into the break. The other side of the ball continued to do well for Marshall County in the second half and held Lawrence County to 0 points. The victory bumped Marshall County's record up to 2-4. Lawrence County are still searching for that first win as they fell to 0-7.

Next week Marshall County take on Giles County at 7:00 PM. Giles County took a loss in their last matchup and are no doubt out to reverse Marshall County's good fortune. As for Lawrence County, they will face off against Tullahoma. Lawrence County stagger into the match hobbled by seven consecutive losses while Tullahoma skip in buoyed by six consecutive wins.
