Basketball Recap: Tumwater Now 5-1 over Last Six Games

On Tuesday, the Tumwater Thunderbirds strolled past the Washougal Panthers with points to spare, taking the game 54-36.

Luke Overbay was nothing short of spectacular: he dropped a double-double with 23 points and 17 boards. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in rebounds. Another player making a difference was Sahara Anthony III, who posted 12 points.

Tumwater has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 16-6 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.7 points over those games. As for Washougal, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-15.

Coming up, Tumwater will challenge Ridgefield at 7:45 p.m. on Thursday. Tumwater is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 60.3 points per game this season. Washougal does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
