Softball Game Preview: Fort Knox Eagles vs. Valley Vikings

Fort Knox is on a six-game streak of home losses dating back to last season, and Valley a five-game streak of away losses also dating back to last season. However, someone's due for a change in luck on Monday. The Fort Knox Eagles will host the Valley Vikings at 6:00 p.m. Considering both teams were shutout in their prior games, the pair is probably coming into this one with something to prove.

Friday just wasn't the day for Fort Knox's offense. They lost 16-0 to Central Hardin on Friday.

Fort Knox saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Layna Morgan, who went 1-for-2 with two stolen bases.

Meanwhile, Valley also failed to score in their most recent game. They came up short against Cocke County on Tuesday, falling 22-0. Having soared to a lofty 24 runs in the game before, the Vikings' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Fort Knox's defeat dropped their record down to 0-7. As for Valley, their loss dropped their record down to an identical 0-7.
