Volleyball Recap: Greenburgh-North Castle Falls to Gorton in First Game of Season

Greenburgh-North Castle had to start their season on the road on Friday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They came up short against the Gorton Wolves, falling 3-0.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-7, 25-8, 25-3.

Leading Gorton to victory were Ny'Asia Carcamo and Katie Rojas. Carcamo had ten aces and two assists, while Rojas had nine aces and five kills. Those nine aces gave Rojas a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Lila Soto, who had four aces and two assists.

Gorton's win bumped their record up to 3-1.

Greenburgh-North Castle does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Gorton, they will take on Spring Valley at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday.
