Basketball Recap: Fernando Cisneros Key Part of a Team Effort in Colts Win

There's no place like home for Wooster, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Saturday. They secured a 66-61 W over the South Tahoe Vikings on Wednesday. That's more bragging rights for the Colts, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Wooster to victory, but perhaps none more so than Fernando Cisneros, who went 6 for 13 on his way to 16 points and six rebounds. Another player making a difference was Ronnie Pullum, who posted 11 points along with five boards and three steals.

Wooster smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 11 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least ten offensive boards in five consecutive matchups.

South Tahoe lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Kai McClain, who went 9 of 12 en route to 20 points. That's the most points McClain has posted since back in December of 2024. Esha Davis was another key player, putting up 14 points.

Wooster is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 5-12 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 64.2 points per game. As for South Tahoe, their defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 12-5.

Wooster wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 63-58 victory against North Valleys on the 17th. As for South Tahoe, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 69-32 win against Sparks on the 17th.
