Baseball Game Preview: Nanuet Golden Knights vs. Port Jervis Raiders

The Nanuet Golden Knights will head out on the road to square off against the Port Jervis Raiders at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. Nanuet will come into the game with an undefeated record on the line.

Nanuet barely beat Albertus Magnus the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Golden Knights blew past the Falcons 6-0 on Thursday. The Golden Knights' pitching crew has been rock solid lately; the team hasn't given up a run in their last three contests.

Meanwhile, Port Jervis came up short against Goshen Central on Thursday and fell 8-3. The Raiders have struggled against the Gladiators recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost meeting.

Cole Corcoran made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with four stolen bases, one run, and one double. That double was his first of the season. Joseph Olenick was another key player, getting on base in two of his four plate appearances with two stolen bases and two runs.

Nanuet's victory was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 6-0. They've had to fight for that success though, as they only beat their opponents by an average of 2.2 runs across that stretch. As for Port Jervis, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-2.
