Flag Football Game Preview: Sunrise Mountain Mustangs vs. Verrado Vipers + Official Tickets

The Sunrise Mountain Mustangs will square off against the Verrado Vipers at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Sunrise Mountain comes in on three and Verrado on six.

On Wednesday, Sunrise Mountain strolled past Ironwood with points to spare, taking the game 22-7. The Mustangs pushed the score to 20-0 by the end of the third, a deficit the Eagles cut but never quite recovered from.

The critical scores for Sunrise Mountain came from Shae Kelly and Madison Gusich.

Meanwhile, while Verrado put up plenty of points on Thursday, the same can't be said for Youngker. The Vipers claimed a resounding 34-0 win over the Roughriders. Considering the Vipers have won five contests by more than 26 points this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Verrado found their leader in sophomore Sanaa Holliday, who threw for 191 yards and three TDs, and also rushed for 36 yards.

Verrado didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off four passes before the game was over. Allison Rospierski led the group effort, picking up two of those interceptions all by herself.

Verrado's victory bumped their record up to 8-2-1. As for Sunrise Mountain, their win bumped their record up to 6-7.
