Basketball Game Preview: Monroe Area Purple Hurricanes vs. West Hall Spartans

Monroe Area is 3-0 against West Hall since November of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The Monroe Area Purple Hurricanes will face off against the West Hall Spartans at 6:00 p.m. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with six consecutive losses for Monroe Area and three for West Hall.

On Saturday, Monroe Area ended up a good deal behind Greene County and lost 60-45.

Meanwhile, West Hall had to suffer through a 75-10 loss at the hands of Oconee County. While losing is never fun, the Spartans can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 449th, while the Warriors are ranked 62nd).

Monroe Area's loss dropped their record down to 7-16. As for West Hall, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-18.

Everything came up roses for Monroe Area against West Hall when the teams last played back in January, as the team secured a 64-30 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Monroe Area since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
