It was a good run, but North Lamar unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Tuesday. They fell just short of the Sulphur Springs Wildcats by a score of 10-8. Panthers fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team's lost against the Wildcats since on Tuesday.

North Lamar's defeat dropped their record down to 7-9. As for Sulphur Springs, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-7 record this season.

While North Lamar had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
