Football Game Preview: Thomas Jefferson Classical Academy Gryphons vs. North Rowan Cavaliers + How To Watch

Two dominant signal callers in Max Sutton and Michael Alford are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. The Thomas Jefferson Classical Academy Gryphons will head out to square off against the North Rowan Cavaliers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Thomas Jefferson Classical Academy is headed into the matchup out to prove that what happened against Mountain Island Charter on Friday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. The Gryphons lost 28-7 to the Raptors. The Gryphons have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, North Rowan waltzed into their contest on Friday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They came within six points of losing the streak, but they secured a 20-14 W against the Rowdy Rebel Bulls.

Thomas Jefferson Classical Academy better keep an eye on Jo Jo Tarver. He was instrumental in North Rowan's win, rushing for 147 yards and one TD, while also picking up 41 receiving yards. That's the most rushing yards Tarver has posted since back in September of 2024.

Thomas Jefferson Classical Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 3-3. As for North Rowan, the victory also got them back to even at 3-3.

Thomas Jefferson Classical Academy came up short against North Rowan in their previous meeting back in November of 2021, falling 34-28. Can the Gryphons avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
