Basketball Recap: North Delta Takes a Loss

If North Delta was riding high fresh off their 44-20 takedown of Water Valley back in November of 2024, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. 2025 welcomed the North Delta Green Wave with a 50-25 loss courtesy of the Kirk Academy Raiders on Friday. The loss continues a trend for the Green Wave in their matchups with the Raiders: they've now lost five in a row.

North Delta's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Kirk Academy, their record is now 11-8.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. North Delta will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Kirk Academy at 6:30 p.m. on January 17th. As for Kirk Academy, they will face off against Lee Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Kirk Academy is facing Lee Academy at the right time seeing as Lee Academy is stuck on a four-game losing streak.
