Baseball Recap: Nine Straight Home Wins for Beacon

Beacon won against Lincoln on Friday with ten runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Tuesday. Everything went the Blue Demons' way against the South Bronx Phoenix as they made off with a 10-1 victory. The win was familiar territory for the Blue Demons, who have now won five matches in a row.

Jagger Bruch made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he struck out eight batters over six innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in four consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 3-for-5 with three RBI, two runs, and one double. That's the most hits he has posted since back in April.

In other batting news, Beacon let Cooper Delabarre and Mason Patience run wild. Delabarre went 1-for-3 with one home run and two runs, while Patience got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run. Those two runs gave Delabarre a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Owen Riess, who got on base in three of his five plate appearances with two runs.

Beacon's victory was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 12-3. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.1 runs over those games. As for South Bronx, their loss dropped their record down to 10-7.

As of now, neither Beacon nor the Phoenix have any future games scheduled.
