Baseball Recap: Frankfort Christian Academy Triumphs

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Brown, Frankfort Christian Academy was happy to have turned things around on Monday. They came out on top against the Williamstown Demons by a score of 8-3. This was payback for the Royals, who suffered a 13-4 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Jack Whitman made a splash no matter where he played. He struck out 11 batters over seven innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off three hits (and only one walk). Whitman was also stellar in the batter's box, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with four stolen bases and three runs. With that strong performance, he is now averaging an impressive 1.4 stolen bases per game.

In other batting news, Grant Asher was incredible, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with two stolen bases, three runs, and three RBI. Parker Cull was another key player, going 2-for-4 with three RBI.

Frankfort Christian Academy's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-4. As for Williamstown, their loss dropped their record down to 2-6.

Coming up, Frankfort Christian Academy will head out to challenge Paris at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Williamstown, they will square off against Walton-Verona at 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
