Recap: Reicher Catholic Cougars vs. Live Oak Classical Falcons
It was a good run, but the Reicher Catholic Cougars unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Tuesday. They took a 60-53 hit to the loss column at the hands of Live Oak Classical. Reicher Catholic was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Falcons apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in January.
Live Oak Classical's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Levi Taylor, who scored 16 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Titus Hornback, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and ten rebounds.
Reicher Catholic's defeat dropped their record down to 21-7. As for Live Oak Classical, they pushed their record up to 25-5 with that win, which was their 24th straight at home dating back to last season.
Reicher Catholic will take on the Eagles at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Brazos Christian has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 687 points over their last ten contests. As for Live Oak Classical, they will head out on the road to square off against the Celtics at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Holy Trinity Catholic comes in still looking for their first win of the season.
