Softball Recap: Mt. Eden Monarchs vs. San Leandro Pirates
Mt. Eden had lost five straight on the road, but on Friday they dropped their record down to 7-9 to make it six. They lost 12-5 to the San Leandro Pirates. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Pirates this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 19-6 back in March.
Kealani Temoche was cooking despite her team's loss, going a perfect 4-for-4 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one double. That stolen base marked the first that she has snagged this season. Another player making a difference was Kailyn Trigos, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.
