Ogden International triumphant thanks to a strong effort from Alonte' Reynolds

Recap: Ogden International vs. Kennedy Crusaders

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Ogden International walked away with it. They strolled past the Crusaders with points to spare on Friday, taking the game 64-50.

Alonte' Reynolds was his usual excellent self, scoring 29 points. That makes it six consecutive games in which he has scored at least a third of Ogden International's points. Another player making a difference was Deshawn Perry-Tucker, who scored 15 points.

When it comes to explaining why Kennedy lost, one person who can't be blamed is Michael Gallas. Despite the final result, he dropped a double-double on 18 points and 11 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Joseph Dahl, who scored 13 points along with two steals.

The win got Ogden International back to even at 12-12. As for Kennedy, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 9-13.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Ogden International will face off against Richards at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Richards has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 211 points over their last three games. Kennedy will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Juarez at 6:30 p.m. on February 6th.
