Patrick Henry posted their closest victory since April 12, 2025 on Thursday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the Evergreen Vikings 11-9. 11 seems to be a good number for the Patriots as the squad scooped up a victory with the same number of runs in their previous game.

Sophie Schwab was a standout: she went 3-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and two doubles. That's the most doubles she has posted since back in March of 2025. The team also got some help courtesy of Aviana Hahn, who went 3-for-4 with four RBI and one double.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Patrick Henry kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. They are a perfect 6-0 when they post 11 or more hits.

The win made it two in a row for Patrick Henry and bumps their season record up to 8-5. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.0 runs over those games. As for Evergreen, the loss snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 9-5 record.

Patrick Henry has already played their next contest, a 6-4 win against Pettisville on the 24th. As for Evergreen, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, an 18-4 defeat against Lake on the 25th.
