Basketball Recap: Aldine Comes Up Short

Aldine was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a 57-43 bruising from the Hardin-Jefferson Hawks.

Hardin-Jefferson was led to victory by Cordell Lowe and Aiden Price. Lowe went 6-for-14 on his way to 17 points along with eight rebounds and three steals, while Price shot 50% from the field to rack up 20 points and four steals. Price has become a key player for the Hawks: the team is 2-1 when he posts at least 15 points, but 0-5 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Jhavon Williams, who posted seven points.

Aldine's loss dropped their record down to 2-9. As for Hardin-Jefferson, they moved to 2-6 with that win, which also ended their six-game losing streak.

Aldine didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 90-29 defeat against Beaumont United on the 4th. As for Hardin-Jefferson, they have also already played their next matchup, a 61-54 victory against Goose Creek Memorial on the 5th.
