Soccer Recap: Newton County Takes a Loss

Newton County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the West Lauderdale Knights. If the Cougars were looking for revenge after losing 2-1 to them when the teams met, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Their goal came courtesy of Zane Tadlock, who's now up to six this season.

Newton County's loss dropped their record down to 6-12-2. As for West Lauderdale, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 7-4.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Newton County will be home for the holidays to greet Kosciusko at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for West Lauderdale, they will welcome Choctaw Central at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
