Carlsbad is a perfect 5-0 against Santa Teresa since September of 2016 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Saturday. The Cavemen/Cavegirls will head out to face off against the Desert Warriors at 10:30 a.m.

Carlsbad managed to keep up with Gadsden until halftime on Friday, but things quickly went downhill from there. The Cavemen/Cavegirls lost 5-2 to the Panthers.

Meanwhile, after failing to score in their last contest, Santa Teresa made sure to put some goals up on the board against Chaparral on Friday. They put the hurt on the Lobos with a sharp 10-1 victory. The high-scoring performance was a welcome turnaround for Santa Teresa's offense, which had struggled in the games prior.

Santa Teresa's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-2. As for Carlsbad, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.

Carlsbad beat Santa Teresa 2-0 in their previous meeting back in August of 2024. Will the Cavemen/Cavegirls repeat their success, or do the Desert Warriors have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
