Baseball Recap: Pleasant Hill Takes a Loss

Pleasant Hill was not able to break out of their rough patch on Sunday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 2-1 to the Winnetonka Griffins, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Griffins this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 2-1 on Saturday.

Pleasant Hill's loss dropped their record down to 11-15. As for Winnetonka, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-8 record this season.

Coincidentally, Pleasant Hill and Winnetonka will both be playing Excelsior Springs the next time they take the field. The Griffins will head out to face the Tigers at 4:00 p.m. on Monday, while the Roosters will host them at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
