Baseball Recap: Lawrence County Has No Trouble Against Hanceville

Lawrence County never let their opponents score on Thursday. They were the clear victors by a 10-0 margin over the Hanceville Bulldogs. Considering the Red Devils' hitters had been struggling lately, the high-scoring outing was a much-needed turnaround.

Lawrence County got a great performance from Jackson Smith as he didn't allow a single earned run while striking out six over six innings pitched. Those six strikeouts gave Smith a new career-high.

On the hitting side, Parker Frost was incredible, going 3-for-4 with one home run, four RBI, and one double. Another player making a difference was Ryder Mcgregory, who scored a run and stole two bases while going 1-for-3.

Lawrence County's victory bumped their record up to 13-7. As for Hanceville, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-12.

Lawrence County wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next match, a 13-3 win against Douglas on the 27th. As for Hanceville, they will welcome Holly Pond at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Hanceville is facing Holly Pond at the right time seeing as Holly Pond is stuck on a nine-game losing streak.
