Basketball Recap: Odessa Comes Up Short

Odessa was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They were five points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 45-40 heartbreaker at the hands of the Lawson Cardinals.

Odessa's defeat dropped their record down to 4-12. As for Lawson, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 8-13 record this season.

Odessa will challenge Van Horn at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Lawson has already played their next contest, a 59-44 win against Brookfield on the 31st.
