Recap: Challis Vikings vs. Watersprings
The Challis Vikings won the last time they faced Watersprings, and things went their way on Saturday too. Challis took down Watersprings 43-24. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Challis.
Watersprings lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Libby Grijalva, who scored five points along with 11 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Ally Zellner, who scored five points along with five steals.
Challis has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 8-5 record this season. As for Watersprings, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-9.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Challis will take on Butte County at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Butte County is hoping to put an end to a four-game streak of away losses. As for Watersprings, their homestand continues as they prepare to take on Grace Lutheran at 5:30 p.m. on January 16th. Grace Lutheran's defense has only allowed 23.8 points per game this season, so Watersprings' offense will have their work cut out for them.
