Baseball Recap: Blackstone Valley RVT's Loss Ends Four-Game Winning Streak at Home

Blackstone Valley RVT dropped their record down to 6-4 on Wednesday, which also ended the team's four-game streak of wins at home. They fell just short of the Auburn Rockets by a score of 5-3. Surprisingly, this marked the Beavers' fourth straight game in which the away team has come away the victor.

Blackstone Valley RVT saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Alex Vosburgh, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base and one RBI.

As for Auburn, the win keeps they at an undefeated 11-0. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.4 runs on average this season.

On Auburn's side, Bryce Everson spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered just two earned (and one unearned) runs on eight hits and racked up eight Ks.

On the hitting side, Jayden Ortiz and James Hillis did most of the damage at the plate: Ortiz went 1-for-4 with two runs, two RBI, and one double, while Hillis went 3-for-4 with two RBI and one double.

Coming up, Blackstone Valley RVT will head out on the road to challenge Ashland at 11:00 a.m. on Friday. As for Auburn, they will square off against North Middlesex Regional at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
